We’re being called to address any issues now that will keep us from fully playing our part in co-creating the new world we are rapidly moving into. To do this, you may need to look closely at who/what is truly driving your bus—(directing your life and controlling your happiness). It may be the invisible but powerful 600-pound gorilla in the driver’s seat—taking wrong turns, slamming on the brakes and crashing into things. No matter how hard you try, it seems to take you everywhere but where you want to go.

This rogue, life-limiting gorilla is any pattern, old belief, fear, experience or idea deeply buried in your subconscious and/or energy-body. It’s driving your bus and controlling one or more aspects of your life. It’s in charge of your life or an area of your life and it’s controlling where you go and how you get there, how you act and respond. It’s in the driver’s seat. It’s taking your bus—your life—down dead-ends, over rocky roads and on trips you never consciously intended. These old patterns and beliefs no longer serve your highest good and your purpose.

And you’re not to blame. We all have beliefs from our past that served us as kids or even as adults in certain situations—and they will sabotage our lives now if the energetic charge is great enough. These beliefs are as many as there are people. However, some common ones are: There’s never enough; I’m not good enough; money doesn’t grow on trees; I’ll never be successful; I’m not loveable; only the rich get richer; and on and on. You may be saying, “not me, I don’t believe that stuff.” And maybe you’re right. However—our subconscious (in fact, our entire energy-body) carries everything we have ever heard or felt emotionally since birth and even in utero, until we consciously clear it or neutralize it.

Studies have shown that even in utero and until  about two years of age, a child’s brain is predominately in a Delta brain wave state. This state in an adult is a state of very deep meditation or sleep. It’s the state where growth hormones are produced and a child absorbs everything it hears, sees and feels into its subconscious. It’s learning how to adapt to, live in and survive in the environment it’s born into. From age two until six years old approximately, a child’s predominant brain wave pattern is Theta—the brain wave state of meditation—and it absorbs everything without filters or conscious reasoning. If you heard repeatedly or even once if it was powerful enough that, “you’re stupid,” or “little girls can’t do that,” or you observed panic in your house about lack of money, or you witnessed great disharmony or abuse or one of thousands of other messages that kids receive from parents, teachers, friends and others, even if the intent was good—it’s in your subconscious, and it may be driving your bus. It’s important to know that older children and adults can also take on buried beliefs and emotional energies from traumatic or repetitive negative experiences.

The great news is that once you become aware—you can change things, and actually change your life quite quickly. It’s my belief that we are all being called to clear the powerful energetic charge these deeply held beliefs, patterns and experiences hold over us.  These are the fear-based, limiting, discouraging beliefs and patterns that interfere with our connection to all that is good for us. This negative energy can and does easily negate any positive affirmations.  Like does truly does attract like.  And if your subconscious is putting out the energy signals of lack, limitation, failure, unlovable, and other self-sabotaging vibrations, you can try until the cows come home–and very little will change.

Isn’t it time to boot the gorilla off the bus and hop back into the driver’s seat?

The farmer began to shovel dirt into the hole. The dirt landed on the mule’s back. This scared the mule and he shook it off. The dirt fell under his feet and he was able to step up a bit. With each shovel of dirt, the mule shook it off, stepping up each time. This went on for quiet some time until the mule had shaken off so much dirt that he had stepped himself right out of the hole, right out of what looked like his gloom and doom.

 This is what we must do. We can’t let the dirt in our lives bury us. We must shake it off and then step up, step out and move on. Our journeys are all different. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. It’s inevitable that we are going to have some symbolic dirt thrown on us during our lifetimes. Don’t compare your life’s dirt to someone else’s. The shoes they walk in were meant for them. We each have our own shoes and our own path to walk down.

Sometimes it will seem as if the way out of your deep and dark well, out of your difficulties, is hopeless, or too difficult to bear. It won’t be if you call on the Power Within and allow this Power to work in your life. The dirt will be much easier to shake off if you do.

Remember, we must “trust what we can’t yet see.” With each step we take, a new step will be revealed to us. We’re not meant to have the whole view revealed to us. Faith and trust are developed only where faith and trust are needed. If you can see the whole path–then it’s not your path, its someone elses.

One day I heard:

 “Thank you.”

“For what?” I asked. [I was very surprised that the Divine Intelligence was thanking me.]

 ”Your love and your trust.”

“I didn’t have any choice.” [I was being a bit sarcastic here; of course I had a choice. I was referring to my giving up," letting go and letting God", because my way hadn't been working.]  

“Yes you did.”

“The way to Me hasn’t been a cakewalk for you. I needed your strength—your character— and those aren’t found on easy street.

Oh so true–real character and real strength is revealed through the fire of the hard  and painful work of peeling back the layers. But is the most important work you can do—and the Phoenix of yourself will rise out of the ashes.

The next day, during my meditation, the meaning was revealed to me.

“I Am the Father of your dream—no conception needed.”

“The birth is eminent—prepare to receive. Your labor is now—behold your new life.”

I have recieved messages just this clear for years–so I expected an answer.

You’re never too old, too broke or too anything to align yourself with the Source that is always calling you into full expression with It. If you don’t know what it is that is calling you, just the fact that you are trying to figure it out, means It is calling you. If you feel confused, empty, lost or diminished in any way, honor your feelings. Question them. Ask what it is that is trying to be expressed in you. You will be answered. Your discontent is your Cosmic alarm bell sounding off.

“Believe you are great—your existence is proof.”

You would not be here at this time in the history of the Universe without a perfect purpose for your life. That purpose is to become everything you were meant to be in your return to Love.

Out of personal introspection and inventory, we will find the seeds for a new direction, a new life. All of the zigging and zagging has been a progression towards uncovering our soul’s agreement for this lifetime. The stumbling blocks are actually stepping-stones, and the platform is not a diving board, but a launching pad in waiting!

“The seed of God is in us. Given an intelligent and hard-working farmer, it will thrive and grow up to God, whose seed it is; and accordingly its fruits will be God-nature. Pear trees grow into pear trees, nut seeds into nut trees and God-seed into God.” [Meister Eckhart]

Our lives will represent the rising of the phoenix if we allow it. Out of the fire and ashes of our crash and burn lives, we are offered a new beginning. And this Grace is offered over and over again. This mythical bird never comes out of its ashes despondent and dejected; it arises with great power and beauty, undamaged and strengthened by the flames of its self-created fire.

We don’t need to gaze upon the ashes of our burnt out dreams with a heavy heart. We are encouraged by the power of this timeless myth to rise up—to be re-birthed— into a new beginning, a new opportunity and sometimes, a whole new life.

If we can stay focused on the Good, we will find It. It is right here with us all the time. It has never left us.

A phoenix experience is the ulitmate change–a “dying” of the old, so the new can be born in and through you.

A Vision Of God

In the market, in the cloister—only God I saw.

I will be presenting ideas here that will put a light on a subject that is gaining more attention–and as we move into a new era, it’s important to consider the elements of a philosophy that tries to reconcile the inequities of a world that has such gross disparities between the haves and the have nots.

And the discussion of  spiritual economics couldn’t be more timely with the out of control greed on Wall Street,  in our credit markets and the banks thatcontrol them. These institutions have wreaked havoc on the lives of Americans and millions of others around the world .

It’s more than just about money though. It’s a new way to think, be and act.

Is your inner self congruent with your outer work and your behavior–how you treat others and our earth? If it’s not, something is going to fall apart. You cannot live out of integrity forever. No one can. It goes against the essence of Life. Eventually a house of cards collapses.

The Outer Work will discuss the importance of being who we are meant to be in all that we do. To be a reflection of our centered, loving, peaceful, purposeful inner self.

 Anyone who is even mildly awake can see that we are living in times that are nothing like we’ve ever seen before. If you think differently-you’re asleep.

 We must choose to change with it-to bend and flow and co-create with the change that has arrived and not just from outside forces-but from the deep Inner Self that calls us to become our best-to participate in creating a better world for everyone. No exceptions, No exclusions. No time to waste.

 You were intended to live at this time in the history of the world. You have a part to play in making it better-or making it worse.  Choose better.

 We are being offered the chance of a lifetime-to become the best we can be. The best we are intended to be as individuals, communities and countries in a new era of caring, sharing, compassion, fairness and equality for everyone, in every country. A new respect for our environment and the animals we share the planet with.

 A new interdependence is birthing itself.

 It’s very exciting. If we can look at the chaos and turmoil around us with the knowing that we are re-creating a better world; a better economy based on honesty and fairness instead of runaway greed; a just and compassionate global society; and a cleaner and greener earth for all of us to live on-then it makes it easier to accept that what’s happening is necessary to evolve us into a humanity that will shine so much brighter than our recent past.

It is an evolution—not a horse race.

If we consider the fact that the Universe itself is multibillions of years old, then our average lifetimes for this go-round are just nanoseconds on God’s clock. What seems like a snail’s pace to us is perfectly ordered and orchestrated for maximum results. With that said, our biggest challenge to the process of becoming is to learn to embody faith and trust. Not just say we have or practice them—but embody them.

The road back to a focused on-purpose life is littered with cast off control issues, other people’s dreams for us, our own preconceived notions of what is perfect for us, and everything else that no longer serves us on our new journey.

When you look back on the events of your life from a new and higher view, the timing and the events you review will have been perfect. Some you still may not understand, because you are not supposed to. That’s ok; in fact, it’s perfect.

Abraham Lincoln’s story is a great example of the process of becoming. Lincoln was an amazing man according to most history books. He also experienced many difficulties and tragedies on his way to his own greatness, learning something from everything and becoming stronger through very difficult circumstances. Lincoln had his own set of roadblocks and train wrecks.

It took Lincoln thirty years to achieve his dream of becoming president. Over a period of forty-four years he went through what many of us can relate to. He was forced to work at age seven after his family lost their home. His mother died when he was nine; he was nearly killed when kicked in the head by a horse; his business failed [he spent seventeen years paying back money he had borrowed from friends]; he was defeated for the legislature; he lost his job and failed to get into law school. This was followed by a personal and business bankruptcy, several more legislative defeats, the death of his sweetheart, a nervous breakdown, multiple bouts of melancholy and deep depression, and a failed run at the Vice Presidency. All of this happened before he won the presidency of the United States in 1860. Lincoln also suffered through the death of ten out of his twelve children and the ever-present  “melancholia” of his wife Mary Todd.

When you partner with your Higher Self, some things will happen very quickly. Others will take much more time. On a Universal or Cosmic level, things need to be developed, put in place, and made available for your great new life. People need to be brought into your life and you into theirs. There may be skills you need to learn. A house may need to be built or a job developed that doesn’t even exist yet. Or maybe you need to be fired, experience betrayal, overcome an addiction or lose your money, or all of these things. Your faith may need to be made stronger and your trust absolute. Your character may need bolstering. And you’ll need to develop great listening and visual skills, the kind that sees and hears Spirit everywhere and in every living thing, including most importantly—within you.

It’s where the spiritual-rubber-meets-the-road. It’s where most people don’t want to go-it’s too scary or they believe it will lessen their lives, rather than what it does-set you free—totally and completely free. 

 It’s not easy though. And it’s a process that takes time and dedication. The spiritual path is not easy. It is, however, the most important journey you can take. And once you begin, there is no turning back, for your inner self won’t let you.
